Vacation to Taiwan!

TAIWAN026

Here's gua bao, or what can be called a "Taiwanese Hamburger". Essentially it's braised pork -- extremely juicy and tender -- served with peanut powder and pickled vegetables inside of a steamed bun. I've only had it once in the states; it's really delectable. There is a good sweetness in the peanut powder, saltiness in the pork, sourness in the vegetables, and then a nice neutral platform of filler with the steamed bun.
